Human needs are a condition that people experience when they feel deprived in some way. They can cover a wide range of human desires, from basic needs such as food and shelter to more complex needs relating to a person's psychological well-being.
Abraham Maslow, a renowned psychologist, defined a list of human needs that is called the Hierarchy of Human Needs. It represents the five levels of human needs, often drawn as hierarchical levels within a pyramid. Needs lower down in the hierarchy must be satisfied before individuals can attend to needs higher up. Everything a person will ever purchase can be traced back to one of these needs.
